What does CB certification mean
IECEE-CB system is established by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) Electrical Product Qualification Testing and Certification Organization (IECEE) to recognize the safety testing results of electrical products globally.
According to IEC safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards for electrical and electronic equipment approved by IECEE, CB system realizes the mutual recognition of test results for 19 categories of electrical products, including batteries, household appliances, information electrical equipment, medical electrical equipment and so on.
Currently, a total of 54 countries have become members of the CB system.

Battery products CB certification inspection standard: IEC62133:

"Safety Requirements for Portable Cell Cells and Batteries Made from Alkalescent or Non-Acid Electrolytes"

CB certification standard for lithium batteries:
IEC62133(cell, battery)

IEC60950 (battery)

Series application rule :PACK cannot be applied as a series.
Cell can be applied in series, but each model must be tested, all need to charge a test fee, the same series of different models can be placed in one certificate.

Battery CB certification testing range:
1. All kinds of power secondary batteries (such as power vehicle batteries, electric road vehicle batteries, power tool batteries, hybrid vehicle batteries, etc.)

2. All kinds of mobile phone batteries (such as lithium ion battery, lithium polymer battery, nickel hydride battery, etc.)

3. All kinds of small secondary batteries (such as notebook computer batteries, digital camera batteries, video camera batteries, various cylindrical batteries, wireless communication batteries, portable DVD batteries,CD and MP3 player batteries, etc.)

CB certification test items for lithium batteries:
1. Discharge performance (such as 20℃ discharge performance, high and low temperature discharge performance)

2. Charge retention capacity

3. Cycle life

4. Environmental adaptability test (such as temperature cycle, constant humidity and heat, vibration, collision, free fall)

5. Height simulation test

6. Safety performance test (such as over charge protection, over discharge protection, short circuit protection)

7. Battery safety requirements (such as heavy weight impact, thermal impact, overcharge, overdischarge, high current discharge, short circuit, extrusion, forced discharge)
